What I have done…

My first taste of the IT industry was as a computer operator for a facilities management company back in 1989. A year of travelling around Australia followed, but when I returned I didn’t have much of an idea what to do.

Eventually I found myself working in logistics an IBM brokerage company. It quickly became evident that I had an aptitude for understanding how the equipment went together and memorising all the features codes and their descriptions, making me the perfect international IBM broker!

What I do now…

I’ve moved away from the used market recently and embarked on a new career in New equipment.

Having been granted my IBM certification in Power systems I now use my experience to understand client requirements to create systems that fits both budgetary and operational needs.

What I do for fun…

Evan at the ripe old age of 45 I still play 11-a-side football every Saturday. I am also a keen squash player and play up to three times a week, including competing in the Surrey Cup winter and summer leagues.

For the past 10 years I have coached a boys’ football team all the ways from U7’s to U17’s and have recently undertook the challenge of coaching an U15’s girls team as well. I’d play a bit more golf if I had the time. All of this the exercise is just so I can continue my other loves of drinking and eating.

What I bring to Maxime…

I have lived and breathed IBM systems, from AS/400’s through iSeries to Power systems, for over 22 years and that experience can be really beneficial.

I’m keen to learn and stay ahead of the game, and think that enthusiasm is part of what makes our team so special.
